Took a taxi from the high-speed rail station and got here in just over ten minutes. The location isn't too remote, and there's a small river nearby—nice for a stroll along the way. Pretty good. Just a few hundred meters from the beach and food street, yet not noisy. The hotel has a convenience store.
The kids were having so much fun that I didn't want to cut it short, so I booked a hotel near Golden Beach. It's basically a guesthouse. The advantage is it's very close to the beach, with both Chinese and ethnic restaurants nearby. If you go in the water, you can quickly shower and change clothes.
