The room was quite clean, with good facilities and satisfactory service. We were upgraded to a better room type, and both the environment and service were great. The location is fairly convenient, not far from the attractions. The guest room is quite large, spacious, and bright, with convenient parking and warm…
There's a Houtu Temple nearby, not bad, free to wander around a bit. Dinner was a bit far, and on the way back passed a small park where you can play volleyball if you bring one. Breakfast wasn't great—I never eat fried rice for breakfast, but I had no other choice, so I scooped some fried rice.
An old-established grand hotel, luxurious and impressive. The facilities are a bit dated but still functional. Very clean and tidy, with warm and attentive service. The parking lot is huge. Breakfast is average but filling.

Star-rated hotels — especially chains and anything four-star and above — almost always register foreign passports as routine. Smaller local hotels sometimes lack the foreign-guest license. Since 2024 hotels officially may not refuse foreign guests: if refused, call or SMS 12345. Book refundable when unsure.

China's official hotel star rating is assessed by tourism authorities (GB/T 14308 standard): ★★★ = comfortable and reliable, ★★★★ = high-end with full services, ★★★★★ = luxury. It certifies quality, not foreign-guest policy — that's why we flag it separately.
Set up Alipay or WeChat Pay with your foreign Visa/Mastercard before you fly — QR payments work at virtually every hotel. Foreign credit cards are accepted at the front desk of most star-rated hotels. Full payments guide →
