The taxi ride from the station wasn't far. I stopped by a nearby temple along the way. The room had an oxygen humidifier, which was a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was Tibetan-style, butter tea with barley cakes. Tasted good, though not much variety, and after 8 AM there wasn't much left to choose from. Room amenities…

The room was clean, the bed soft, and I slept soundly. The lobby and hallways are decorated with thangka paintings and Tibetan rugs, giving the place a nice atmosphere. In the morning I went to Drepung Monastery—just a few minutes' walk for a distant view, very convenient. The room has oxygen supply equipment, which…

First time in Lhasa on business, and this hotel is excellent. The service is great—they even helped me with my luggage. Breakfast has a wide variety and tastes good. The room is very clean and tidy. The location is also good. Highly recommended.

Good to know

Does this hotel accept foreign guests?

Star-rated hotels — especially chains and anything four-star and above — almost always register foreign passports as routine. Smaller local hotels sometimes lack the foreign-guest license. Since 2024 hotels officially may not refuse foreign guests: if refused, call or SMS 12345. Book refundable when unsure.

How do I get there?

Show the big Chinese name above to any taxi or DiDi driver, or tap Find in Amap for turn-by-turn navigation. The Chinese name is what drivers read — English names are rarely recognized.

What does the star rating mean?

China's official hotel star rating is assessed by tourism authorities (GB/T 14308 standard): ★★★ = comfortable and reliable, ★★★★ = high-end with full services, ★★★★★ = luxury. It certifies quality, not foreign-guest policy — that's why we flag it separately.

How do I pay there?

Set up Alipay or WeChat Pay with your foreign Visa/Mastercard before you fly — QR payments work at virtually every hotel. Foreign credit cards are accepted at the front desk of most star-rated hotels. Full payments guide →
