The hotel is in the old town, just a few minutes' walk from Wanda, and I stopped by a few small shops nearby along the way. The room is simply furnished, with floor-to-ceiling windows that let in plenty of light, and the bathroom is spacious enough that the kids could play a bit after their bath. The front desk was…

Service: The front desk staff were warm and attentive, making us feel very welcome. Cleanliness: The hotel is generally well cleaned, though more attention to detail would be appreciated. Environment: The facilities are good, the windows block out road noise, and robots can deliver takeout. Amenities: There is a gym…

Overall, it was a good experience. The environment is cozy, and the facilities and decor are relatively new. The staff were very welcoming, just as good as before. However, I still prefer the orange scent that used to be in the room—hope it makes a comeback!

Good to know

Does this hotel accept foreign guests?

Star-rated hotels — especially chains and anything four-star and above — almost always register foreign passports as routine. Smaller local hotels sometimes lack the foreign-guest license. Since 2024 hotels officially may not refuse foreign guests: if refused, call or SMS 12345. Book refundable when unsure.

How do I get there?

Show the big Chinese name above to any taxi or DiDi driver, or tap Find in Amap for turn-by-turn navigation. The Chinese name is what drivers read — English names are rarely recognized.

What does the star rating mean?

China's official hotel star rating is assessed by tourism authorities (GB/T 14308 standard): ★★★ = comfortable and reliable, ★★★★ = high-end with full services, ★★★★★ = luxury. It certifies quality, not foreign-guest policy — that's why we flag it separately.

How do I pay there?

Set up Alipay or WeChat Pay with your foreign Visa/Mastercard before you fly — QR payments work at virtually every hotel. Foreign credit cards are accepted at the front desk of most star-rated hotels. Full payments guide →
