The staff were attentive and welcoming. Since we liked the hotel's environment, we extended our stay by one more night. The breakfast had a wide variety of options, and there's a restaurant right next door—after returning from sightseeing, we could go straight there for lunch and dinner, which was very convenient.
The hotel is right next to Jinci Park and even offers drop-off at the back gate, so you can walk directly to the Jinci Museum. I booked Building 5, which is said to be a 1960s building, but its layout gives you a feeling of traveling back to the old days. Breakfast was plentiful, and the pool was great.
Taiyuan State Guesthouse—I didn't expect such an old building, with no elevator, so I had to carry my luggage upstairs myself. I called a staff member to help lift the suitcase.
