Convenient shopping and dining around the hotel, not far from Tashilhunpo Monastery—you can get there by electric bike. Ctrip says breakfast is charged, but it's actually free. Also, ride-hailing apps don't work in Shigatse, only taxis and buses. If you're not in a hurry to the train station, bus No. 8 works too.
