The hotel is very close to the train station, just a few minutes' walk, and also on the way to the museum. The room was clean and the bed was soft, so I slept well. In the morning I took a walk along the road; the autumn scenery at Cedar Lake was quite pleasant. The front desk staff were friendly and helped point out…

Passing through Duyun on the way to Libo Xiaoqikong, the prefectural capital of Qiannan. The museum is just across the street, so I stopped by to learn something. There's also a lake nearby—great for a morning walk with fresh air. Breakfast was plentiful.

Good to know

Does this hotel accept foreign guests?

Star-rated hotels — especially chains and anything four-star and above — almost always register foreign passports as routine. Smaller local hotels sometimes lack the foreign-guest license. Since 2024 hotels officially may not refuse foreign guests: if refused, call or SMS 12345. Book refundable when unsure.

How do I get there?

Show the big Chinese name above to any taxi or DiDi driver, or tap Find in Amap for turn-by-turn navigation. The Chinese name is what drivers read — English names are rarely recognized.

What does the star rating mean?

China's official hotel star rating is assessed by tourism authorities (GB/T 14308 standard): ★★★ = comfortable and reliable, ★★★★ = high-end with full services, ★★★★★ = luxury. It certifies quality, not foreign-guest policy — that's why we flag it separately.

How do I pay there?

Set up Alipay or WeChat Pay with your foreign Visa/Mastercard before you fly — QR payments work at virtually every hotel. Foreign credit cards are accepted at the front desk of most star-rated hotels. Full payments guide →
