The room was very clean, and the bed was soft with no noise when turning over at night. The front desk staff helped point out routes to nearby red tourist sites, and the memorial hall was just a few minutes' walk away. There is a parking lot in the courtyard with security on duty, so it felt safe to park. Breakfast…
Huishi Lou Hotel has a big reputation, but it doesn't quite live up to it. The room lighting was a bit dim, and I couldn't even find it. I stayed in Building 2, which had no front desk. I stayed one night. It's very close to Huishi Park, but unfortunately it was under maintenance during those days, so I didn't get to…

Good to know
Does this hotel accept foreign guests?
Star-rated hotels — especially chains and anything four-star and above — almost always register foreign passports as routine. Smaller local hotels sometimes lack the foreign-guest license. Since 2024 hotels officially may not refuse foreign guests: if refused, call or SMS 12345. Book refundable when unsure.
How do I get there?
Show the big Chinese name above to any taxi or DiDi driver, or tap Find in Amap for turn-by-turn navigation. The Chinese name is what drivers read — English names are rarely recognized.
What does the star rating mean?
China's official hotel star rating is assessed by tourism authorities (GB/T 14308 standard): ★★★ = comfortable and reliable, ★★★★ = high-end with full services, ★★★★★ = luxury. It certifies quality, not foreign-guest policy — that's why we flag it separately.
How do I pay there?
Set up Alipay or WeChat Pay with your foreign Visa/Mastercard before you fly — QR payments work at virtually every hotel. Foreign credit cards are accepted at the front desk of most star-rated hotels. Full payments guide →
