Every year when we visit Shenzhen, we stay at this hotel. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs with lots of snacks kids love, and a Chaozhou restaurant next door that looks great. The front desk staff were lovely and gave us a free room upgrade. The next morning we had authentic Cantonese morning tea on the second floor.…
The hotel facilities are somewhat dated, but the location is excellent. It's quiet at night, and there's a mall right across the street, which is very convenient. Parking is easy, and it's convenient to take the subway. Getting to Lianhuashan Park and Xianhu Botanical Garden is also very easy.
Second stay here. Very close to the subway station with multiple lines, convenient for getting around. Stayed in a family room with a 1.5m queen bed and a 1.2m single bed, plus three chairs, comfortable.

Star-rated hotels — especially chains and anything four-star and above — almost always register foreign passports as routine. Smaller local hotels sometimes lack the foreign-guest license. Since 2024 hotels officially may not refuse foreign guests: if refused, call or SMS 12345. Book refundable when unsure.

China's official hotel star rating is assessed by tourism authorities (GB/T 14308 standard): ★★★ = comfortable and reliable, ★★★★ = high-end with full services, ★★★★★ = luxury. It certifies quality, not foreign-guest policy — that's why we flag it separately.
