The room was quiet and the bed was soft, so I slept very soundly. The front desk helped plan a sightseeing route and even gave us fruit. The Ming-Qing Palace is nearby, just a few minutes' walk away. The restaurant on the third floor serves hot food at reasonable prices. Is the hotel far from the attractions? No, it's…
Choosing Guomao Building for our Hengdian trip was absolutely the right call! The location is unbeatable—just a ten-minute taxi ride to all the major attractions, and the night market is only 900 meters away on foot, where we feasted on durian pancakes and ice cream tofu. The room was spacious and clean, the bedding…
First time in Hengdian, 2-day trip. Based on Doubao's recommendation, I stayed at Guomao Building Hotel, and it was really good. It was one of Hengdian's higher-end hotels in the early days. Good to know
Does this hotel accept foreign guests?
Star-rated hotels — especially chains and anything four-star and above — almost always register foreign passports as routine. Smaller local hotels sometimes lack the foreign-guest license. Since 2024 hotels officially may not refuse foreign guests: if refused, call or SMS 12345. Book refundable when unsure.
How do I get there?
Show the big Chinese name above to any taxi or DiDi driver, or tap Find in Amap for turn-by-turn navigation. The Chinese name is what drivers read — English names are rarely recognized.
What does the star rating mean?
China's official hotel star rating is assessed by tourism authorities (GB/T 14308 standard): ★★★ = comfortable and reliable, ★★★★ = high-end with full services, ★★★★★ = luxury. It certifies quality, not foreign-guest policy — that's why we flag it separately.
How do I pay there?
Set up Alipay or WeChat Pay with your foreign Visa/Mastercard before you fly — QR payments work at virtually every hotel. Foreign credit cards are accepted at the front desk of most star-rated hotels. Full payments guide →
