They really pinch every penny. On a day like this, they don't turn on the AC, and the room is above 26°C. Sure, the weather outside is cool, but the room is hot. The hotel pretties it up by saying they're running "cool breeze mode"—yeah, a fan dressed up all fancy. I woke up from the heat several times in the middle…
Actually, it's still operating normally. It's just that the owners went bankrupt. The main reason was that the investors put their money into other real estate projects, and when the cash flow dried up, the whole hotel ended up being auctioned off too.
Stayed here for the provincial civil service exam and got a free upgrade to a larger room—service was excellent. Facilities are complete, very clean, and the environment is nice, with the Xiang River right below. It's also close to the exam site, within walking distance.
