I found a fantastic hotel in Qiannan, and after staying there, I can't help but recommend it to anyone looking to relax on vacation.
Stayed another night in the same hotel and same room. Affordable, convenient location, and the sour soup beef hotpot downstairs was delicious. Walked to see the internet-famous bridge. Unfortunately, it rained these past few days so I couldn't visit other places. Will come back next time.
The room facilities and hygiene conditions are really not good anymore—outdated. At this price point, it feels a bit overpriced. The convenient part is that there's a parking lot, and parking is very easy. Other than that, there's nothing much.

Star-rated hotels — especially chains and anything four-star and above — almost always register foreign passports as routine. Smaller local hotels sometimes lack the foreign-guest license. Since 2024 hotels officially may not refuse foreign guests: if refused, call or SMS 12345. Book refundable when unsure.

China's official hotel star rating is assessed by tourism authorities (GB/T 14308 standard): ★★★ = comfortable and reliable, ★★★★ = high-end with full services, ★★★★★ = luxury. It certifies quality, not foreign-guest policy — that's why we flag it separately.
