Open the window and you're greeted by the lake and mountains. At dusk, the interplay of light and shadow is so peaceful you just want to stay forever. Old four-star hotel with fairly dated facilities. Business might not be good—a staff member said the central AC isn't kept on all the time and gets shut off around 1 or 2 a.m. to cut costs. After we complained about the AC, they brought us a fan. The surrounding area is nice and good for sightseeing.
The hotel is beautifully located by mountains and water, surrounded by Guilin's karst scenery. This four-star garden villa-style hotel reflects its past glory and offers great value. There are many restaurants nearby, and it's convenient for getting to attractions.
