The room was small with somewhat dated facilities, but basically clean. Staying at the entrance of the old town, just a few minutes' walk to the night market—it felt safe coming back after an evening stroll. The parking lot is right at the doorstep, convenient for self-driving without any detours. Outside the window…

The room isn't very big and the facilities are a bit dated, but they basically work and it's fine for a stay. The location is quite convenient, right at the entrance of the scenic area, within walking distance. The price isn't too high, so the value for money is decent. There are ancient villages and bamboo forests…

Most places in town are guesthouses, so there aren't many hotel options. This hotel is just average—the decor and facilities are fairly dated, and there's no elevator, so carrying luggage upstairs isn't very convenient. They provided free breakfast, which was decent.

Good to know

Does this hotel accept foreign guests?

Star-rated hotels — especially chains and anything four-star and above — almost always register foreign passports as routine. Smaller local hotels sometimes lack the foreign-guest license. Since 2024 hotels officially may not refuse foreign guests: if refused, call or SMS 12345. Book refundable when unsure.

How do I get there?

Show the big Chinese name above to any taxi or DiDi driver, or tap Find in Amap for turn-by-turn navigation. The Chinese name is what drivers read — English names are rarely recognized.

What does the star rating mean?

China's official hotel star rating is assessed by tourism authorities (GB/T 14308 standard): ★★★ = comfortable and reliable, ★★★★ = high-end with full services, ★★★★★ = luxury. It certifies quality, not foreign-guest policy — that's why we flag it separately.

How do I pay there?

Set up Alipay or WeChat Pay with your foreign Visa/Mastercard before you fly — QR payments work at virtually every hotel. Foreign credit cards are accepted at the front desk of most star-rated hotels. Full payments guide →
