Autumn deepens, and I check into an old mountain house. Opening the window in the morning, the mist hasn't lifted yet, distant peaks faintly visible in the dawn light. The room is clean and tastefully furnished, with a balcony facing a bamboo grove. Lying down at night, I occasionally hear the rustle of wind through…
Autumn deepens. Staying in a room like an old mountain house, I open the wooden window to see bamboo shadows swaying. The room is quiet and elegantly furnished. Soaking in the private hot spring while listening to the wind, I slowed down completely. A tea table is set in the courtyard, where I chat with friends and…
The overall environment and air quality are great. Breathing the fresh mountain air every day, with clear waters and blue skies, is very pleasant. Good to know
Does this hotel accept foreign guests?
Star-rated hotels — especially chains and anything four-star and above — almost always register foreign passports as routine. Smaller local hotels sometimes lack the foreign-guest license. Since 2024 hotels officially may not refuse foreign guests: if refused, call or SMS 12345. Book refundable when unsure.
How do I get there?
Show the big Chinese name above to any taxi or DiDi driver, or tap Find in Amap for turn-by-turn navigation. The Chinese name is what drivers read — English names are rarely recognized.
What does the star rating mean?
China's official hotel star rating is assessed by tourism authorities (GB/T 14308 standard): ★★★ = comfortable and reliable, ★★★★ = high-end with full services, ★★★★★ = luxury. It certifies quality, not foreign-guest policy — that's why we flag it separately.
How do I pay there?
Set up Alipay or WeChat Pay with your foreign Visa/Mastercard before you fly — QR payments work at virtually every hotel. Foreign credit cards are accepted at the front desk of most star-rated hotels. Full payments guide →
