The room was fine. I was there to take an exam at the Yongkang Party School, and staying at this hotel was very convenient. The overall environment was also good. The only issues were that the desk lamp was very dim, and the room I stayed in had a bathroom and shower with no windows.
The environment is very nice and the value for money is great. I booked it randomly for a concert. The breakfast was also very tasty, but unfortunately I didn't get to try the Yongkang specialty meat pie, and I missed the late-night snacks too. Judging by the breakfast variety, they should be pretty good.
Passing by this way, I found the surroundings of the hotel quite open, and it felt much cleaner than before. Usually when I pass by, it always seems a bit quiet, but today it looked quite comfortable, especially near the tall buildings—the view is nice and it's a good place to take a rest.

Star-rated hotels — especially chains and anything four-star and above — almost always register foreign passports as routine. Smaller local hotels sometimes lack the foreign-guest license. Since 2024 hotels officially may not refuse foreign guests: if refused, call or SMS 12345. Book refundable when unsure.

China's official hotel star rating is assessed by tourism authorities (GB/T 14308 standard): ★★★ = comfortable and reliable, ★★★★ = high-end with full services, ★★★★★ = luxury. It certifies quality, not foreign-guest policy — that's why we flag it separately.
Set up Alipay or WeChat Pay with your foreign Visa/Mastercard before you fly — QR payments work at virtually every hotel. Foreign credit cards are accepted at the front desk of most star-rated hotels. Full payments guide →
