The room was quite comfortable, and the hotel is in a good location, not far from the old town. The breakfast selection was decent and tasted good. The only issue is that parking spaces are limited, but fortunately the security staff warmly arranged parking and even kindly helped with the luggage.
Went on a day trip to Shache. The hotel was nice, and the roast pigeon and baked buns here are really good. I suggest searching for the roast pigeon place—the building is quite famous, I think it's called Kakamu Hometown Restaurant. Highly recommended.
This should be one of the best hotels in Shache. The room was large and very comfortable, and it was easy to walk to the old street. I really liked Shache; it's a great place to experience life.

Star-rated hotels — especially chains and anything four-star and above — almost always register foreign passports as routine. Smaller local hotels sometimes lack the foreign-guest license. Since 2024 hotels officially may not refuse foreign guests: if refused, call or SMS 12345. Book refundable when unsure.

China's official hotel star rating is assessed by tourism authorities (GB/T 14308 standard): ★★★ = comfortable and reliable, ★★★★ = high-end with full services, ★★★★★ = luxury. It certifies quality, not foreign-guest policy — that's why we flag it separately.
Set up Alipay or WeChat Pay with your foreign Visa/Mastercard before you fly — QR payments work at virtually every hotel. Foreign credit cards are accepted at the front desk of most star-rated hotels. Full payments guide →
